Sasha

Sasha is a 1 year old German Shepherd cross. She will need an active home. She has no basic training and is very energetic if she is not stimulated she will develop behaviour problems. She will bark at dogs and pull to see them, she has met a dog at gables and greeted nicely. She will need complete basic training and socialising with dogs. In time Sasha will be a fun dog to own. She is suitable to live with children over 10.

Sophia

Sophia is an 18 month old Staffie cross. She needs an active home where she can receive the time and training she needs. She has no basic training and would benefit from socialising with other dogs. She does likes other dogs but will get excited and bark at some dogs, she will then grab the lead. She is very loving and enjoys sitting on laps for cuddles. She is generally calm and sweet. With time and training Sophia will make a fun, loving dog. She is suitable to live with children over 10. Reserved. We can take second reserves.

Bomber

Bomber is a 3 year old Boxer. He is a laid back dog. He is affectionate and likes the company of people. He has no basic training but loves food. He likes to meet new dogs but will pull and is very strong on the lead near other dogs, he walks nicely on the lead on his own. Bomber will need an active home where he will be great to own. He is suitable to live with children over 8.

Lupin

Lupin is a 4 year old Golden Retriever. He is a loving dog. He is affectionate and loves the company of people. He has some basic training which will need continuing in his new home. He loves his friend Odie and would like to be re homed with him as they have lived with each other for 2 1/2 years and are very attached to each other. He is not keen on the vet or being groomed and has to be muzzled, other than this problem  Lupin has a great nature and will be a fun dog to own. He is suitable to live with children over 12 and cats.

Odie

Odie is a 3 year old Collie. He is a loving dog, he is affectionate and loves the company of people. He has some basic training which will need continuing in his new home. He loves his friend Lupin and would like to be re homed with him as they have lived with each other for 2 1/2 years and are attached to each other. Odie has a great nature and will be a fun dog to own. He is suitable to live with children over 12 and cats.

Raine & Blaise

Raine and Blaise are 3 year old German Shepherds. Blaise is a black and tan female and Raine is a white male. They are both very timid shy dogs. They have been mistreated and are very nervous but once they know you they are friendly and affectionate. They will need experienced patient owners who are prepared to help them gain their confidence and spend time training and socialising them.  Given time to settle Blaise and Raine will make a wonderful rewarding pets to own. They are looking for a home together as they are very attached to each other. They are suitable to live with children over 16.

Casey

Casey is a 10 - 12 year old Rottie. She is a sweet old girl, she enjoys short walks and lots of cuddles. She is very hand shy and will cower over most noises and fast hand movement, because of this we are looking for a quiet home for her where she can have time to settle in and kind owners who will not rush her. In time Casey will be a loving dog to own. She is suitable to live with children over 10.

Tyler

Tyler is a 12½ year old German Shepherd. He is a kind, affectionate dog. He is looking for a special, quiet home where he can retire. he has a cheeky character, enjoys walks and the occasional game of tug. He is a joy to be around and would make a good companion for anyone who has love to give. He is suitable to live with children over 16.

Barley

Barley is a 4½ year old Staffie. He is a very strong, independent dog who loves people and attention but does not like other dogs. We would recommend Barley is muzzled in any public areas where there are other dogs for safety. He is a lovely dog who would benefit from attending socialisation classes to help to manage his dog aggression. Given time Barley will make a wonderful pet to own. He is suitable to live with children over 12.

Dasher

Dasher is a 2 year old Staffie. He is a fantastic, fun dog who is very affectionate and loves everyone he meets. He loves to sit on your lap for cuddles and will make a loyal pet to own. He must go to an active home where he can get the training and exercise he needs. Dasher is a lovely, sweet dog who will make a fantastic pet. He is suitable to live with children over 12.

Cathy

Cathy is a 10 - 12 year old Doberman. She is a lovely dog, she loves everyone and enjoys meeting new dogs. Cathy walks quite well on the lead but will pull to see other dogs, she still has lots of energy for her age and enjoys walks, she is a sweet dog who will make a great companion in the right home. She is suitable to live with children over 10.

Cora

Cora is a 7 year old German Shepherd cross. She loves everyone and is very affectionate. She has lots of energy and enjoys walks. She has some basic training and is willing to learn. She is protective over her food and will growl if you touch her while she is eating. She is looking for an experienced home where she can get the training and exercise she needs, Cora will be a loving dog to own. She is suitable to live with children over 14.

Gazza

Gazza is a 2 year old Staffie cross. He is a laid back dog, he likes everyone he meets and is affectionate. He will greet dogs nicely but will snap at some, due to him being unpredictable he can not live with another dog. He has little basic training but he is willing to learn and loves food. In the right home with time and socializing Gazza will make a great pet. He is suitable to live with children over 10.

Yorkie

Yorkie is an adult Yorkshire Terrier. When he came in he was very nervous and scared, he took quite a while to settle but became very affection and happy once he did. He will need owners who have experience with nervous snappy dogs so he can receive the patient socializing he needs. In time Yorkie will settle and become a fun, rewarding dog to own. He is suitable to live with children over 16.

Paddy

Paddy is a 2 year old Collie cross Staffie. He loves the company of people and adores food. He has little basic training but is willing to learn. He will need an active home where he can get the exercise and training he needs. He is strong on the lead and will jump up when he gets excited. Paddy has a great character and is full of life. He is suitable to live with children over 5.

Hats

Hats is a 4 year old Greyhound. She is a sweet, timid friendly girl who enjoys chasing toys.  She loves food and will work for food.  As she is an ex racer she will always have to be muzzled in public.  Hats would suit a quiet home where she will make a wonderful companion. She is suitable to live with children over 10. Reserved. We can take second reserves.

Jojo

Jojo is a 13 year old German Shepherd cross. She is lively, excitable dog who has a strong dislike of other  dogs and will stand on her back legs barking and lunging at them.  She is walked on a halti for control and has a very sweet nature.  She does not like to play with toys but enjoys most types of food.  Despite her age Jojo is still very active and will make a loyal companion for an experienced owner who is prepared to tolerate her dog aggression issues. She is suitable to live with children over 8.

Star

Star is a 6 year old Greyhound. He is a lively, strong dog who loves to chase toys. He gets over excited and occasionally jumps up for attention. He must always wear a muzzle in public due to him being an ex racer.  He is timid of other dogs except greyhounds so would be better as an only dog.  Star will make a rewarding companion to own. He is suitable to live with children over 14.

Jocie

Jocie is a 3 year old Greyhound. She is active and enjoys the company of people. She is wary of some dogs so would be better as an only dog. She has no training but walks well on the lead. As she is an ex racer she must always be muzzled when in a public place. Jocie will make a good companion. She is suitable to live with children over 10.

Frances

Frances is a 2 year old Staffie cross English Bull Terrier. He likes the company of people and has a nice nature. He does not know how to walk on a lead and has no basic training. He is unsure of dogs and will try to run away from them, because of this he will be better as an only dog where he can get the socializing he needs with other dogs. Frances is a sweet dog who is willing to learn. He is suitable to live children over 12.

Floss

Floss is a 2 year old Staffie cross. She is a wonderful, friendly dog who is very timid and will roll onto her back and urinate when she first meets people.  She walks quite well on the lead but will pull to meet every person she sees and will sit on your lap for cuddles and fuss.  She is frightened of other dogs and will try to avoid them as much as possible, she is not suitable to live with another dog at present and needs to be the only pet.  Given time she will make a terrific, rewarding dog to own. She is suitable to live with children over 8.

Becks

Becks is a 2 year old American Bulldog. He is a super, sweet dog who is very timid and wary in new situations.  He was not walked in his last home but is fairly good on the lead.  He is used to living with 2 other dogs but has not had much contact with people.  He will need experienced, patient owners who are prepared to socialise and work with him.  He is a lovely dog who is a gentle giant and deserves a special home. He is suitable to live with children over 16.

Tad

Tad 2½ year old Staffie cross Boxer. He is a cheeky boy. He has a comical nature and is full of life. He has no basic training and is strong on the lead. He will jump up for attention but will stop if he is ignored. He must have training and socialising with dogs and people in his new home. He is a wonderful chap who with time and training will make a great dog to own. He is suitable to live with children over 16.

Baz

Baz is a 3 year old Greyhound. He likes the company of people and has some basic training. He likes most food and is keen to learn. He can be strong on the lead and gets excited when he sees another dog. In the right home Baz will be a great dog to own. He is suitable to live with children over 10.

Bouncer

Bouncer is a 1 year old Staffie. He is a loving dog. He enjoys the company of people and loves meeting dogs when on a walk, he has lots of energy but no basic training. He is willing and eager to learn. He will need a home where he will receive the exercise and training he needs, he is a wonderful dog with a great nature. In the right home Bouncer will be a great dog to own. He is suitable to live with children over 10.

Tyson

Tyson is an 8 year old Staffie. He is a friendly dog. He likes the company of people and is affectionate. He can be strong on the lead so wears a harness which he walks well on. He gets excited when he sees other dogs and will whine, he greets nicely and enjoys seeing other dogs. He will growl and may snap if dogs are bouncy or pester him. He has little training but loves food and is willing to learn. In the right home with socialising and training Tyson will be a great dog to own. He is suitable to live with children over 10.

Cassya

Cassya is a 13 year old Staffie. She is a lovley dog, she loves everyone and enjoys meeting new dogs although she mainly ignores them. She walks well on the lead and still has lots of energy for her age. She is a sweet dog who will be a great companion in the right home. She is suitable to live with children over 10.

Sandy

Sandy is a 1 year old Terrier cross. She is a wonderful, sweet natured dog who is very loving and affectionate but is very highly strung and anxious about everything.  She is a very bright, intelligent dog and needs a home where she will be kept mentally stimulated.  Her dog aggression is being worked on and she has improved greatly but this must be kept up in a new home.  Provided she is given time to settle, she will make a wonderful, rewarding pet to own. She is suitable to live with children over 10.

Stavros

Stavros is a 3 -4 year old Staffie. He is a great dog and he loves the company of people. He enjoys playing with toys. He has a dog aggression issue which means he should not be let off the lead or walked without a muzzle. He has little basic training and is strong on the lead. Stavros will be a rewarding dog to own. He is suitable to live with children over 12.

Jake

Jake is a 13 year old Staffie. He is a sweet laid back dog. He likes the company of people and is affectionate. He is still energetic, he loves walks and is good on the lead. He needs a quiet home where he can get regular exercise and affection. Jake will be a great companion. He is suitable to live with children over 10.

Benji

Benji is a 5½ year old Collie cross. He is a very excitable, friendly dog who loves to play with toys and other dogs.  He did not like to be left in the kennel when he first came to gables but he has improved greatly.  He does not like being left in the home and will chew through doors and may toilet in the house.  He is a sweet dog but requires a lot of training and patience to try and improve his anxiety when being left. He has started agility training and is showing good progress, he enjoys agility and has potential as an agility dog.  Given time and dedicated training he will a rewarding  dog to own. He loves people and attention and is very affectionate. He is looking for a home with adults only.

Red

Red is a 6 year old Jack Russell. He is a very lively energetic dog who loves to be with people.  He has developed a few behaviour problems in his last home of 4 months and will need very understanding, experienced owners who are prepared to work with him.  He will jump up when people try to leave the house and does not like other dogs.  He is possessive over food and will take a lot of time and training to improve his behaviour.  Despite his problems Red does has a lovely character and has the potential to make a fun pet to own. He is looking for a home with adults only.

Sally

Sally is a 6 year old Collie cross. She is an intelligent dog who does have a few behaviour problems. She does not like dogs and will always have to be muzzled when in public, she is happy to wear a muzzle. She is not keen on being left and may bark. Sally is a nice dog who with time and training will be a rewarding dog to own. She is suitable to live with children over 14.

Marley

Marley is a 2 year old Staffie. He is a very lively, strong dog who adores people and attention.  He will jump up for attention and will need complete basic training, he has started agility training at Gables and is showing promise. He is not tolerant of other dogs and we would recommend muzzling him in public areas for safety. Given time and training Marley will make a fun pet to own.  He is suitable to live with children over 12.

Daley

Daley is a 6 year old English Bull Terrier cross. He is a sweet natured dog. He loves human company and is affectionate. He has no basic training but has been well behaved while at Gables. He loves to play with toys but may chew them. He is a wonderful dog who will make a great pet in any home. He is suitable to live with children over 5.

Lee

Lee is a 2 year old Staffie cross British Bulldog. He is a very affectionate once he knows you. He has been mistreated and as a result he is very nervous of new people and situations. He will need kind patient owners who are prepared to continue his training and socialising with other dogs. He is looking for a home where he will be the only pet. Lee loves to play with toys. He is suitable to live with children over 14.

Jarvis

Jarvis is a 7 ½ year old Dalmatian. He is a timid dog who was rescued from a field in Cornwall.  He has been used to living outside with a pack of 40+ dogs so will need a lot of training and socialising to get him used to living in a home environment.  He has a very sweet nature but does get frightened easily so will need experienced owners who have the time and patience to dedicate to him. He is looking for a home with children over 12.
